KAT Orientation Video
$10

This twenty-minute video orients students, educators and interested members of the public to the KAT process by visiting 5 KAT classes in different schools across Pennsylvania.

Pass the popcorn while you watch

  • 7th graders in the Wilkes Barre area work on safe biking and a system of trails;
  • 5th graders in Philadelphia partnering with City officials to address abandoned housing in their neighborhood;
  • 3rd graders in Upper St. Clair develop plans for a recreation center, and present these plans at a township council meeting;
  • multi-grades in Pittsburgh join City Council in studying the pros & cons of a curfew ordinance, and in eradicating litter from the city streets;
  • elementary students in Hazleton propose to their school district a number of safety initiatives of particular concern to their own school.

You'll see how KAT's versatility makes it applicable to a wide range of ages, school districts and types of issues.

Educators have told us that they like to view the video at the start of the program - to get a flavor for what KAT can do and to excite the students - and then again later on to help focus on details, integrate methods, and catalyze new ideas. One video can be shared among many teachers!
